Sunanda Pushkar (Tharoor) had asked Rohit Kochhar to prepare a will

Rohit Kochhar, the eminent corporate lawyer, has revealed the fact that Sunanda Pushkar, the deceased wife of Union HRD Minister Shashi Tharoor, had asked him to prepare the will three months ago. At that time, she also told Rohit Kochhar, who was also her good friend, in the context of her illness that life is unpredictable. She asked Kochhar to prepare a will when she was not having any tiff with Shashi. She had left a major portion of her asset for her son from second marriage and something for Shashi Tharoor also.
In 2012-13, Sunanda stated her assets to the tune of more than Rs 112 crore while Shashi had only Rs 6.34 crore. Her wealth made her one of the richest among wives of Indian ministers. According to Rohit Kochhar, she was favorably disposed to Shashi Tharoor at that point of time and even when later her relations turned sour with Shashi, she did not alter her will. Mr. Kochhar said she was in no way insecure as far as wealth and financial solvency is concerned.
Sunanda who was found death in one of the South Delhi’s five star hotel, had taken heavy dose of anti depressant drugs, according to postmortem report.
